New addition to a local hospital’s doctors parking lot. Now the R8 that’s there all the time has a friend

They are meant to fit extra parked ambulances but the hospital never gets that busy unless NASCAR/NHRA are in town so the ER doctors usually park there

Goodto know the docs can get to the hospital in a hurry

Haha it is a trauma two center so the docs have to be able to be called in within 45 minutes. I wonder if they wrote off the cars as a business expense hahaa

What hospital is that? It can’t be Silver Cross in Joliet, is it?
![]() 12/10/2015 at 12:35 |

It’s the new silver cross in New Lenox. The old silver cross in joliet is abandoned now. There were plans to turn it into a VA hospital but I haven’t heard about any progress into that

The white Audi, I first read the plate like “Usin’ Mom For...”
Does any state have more vanity plates per capita than Illinois?

I know a doctor that has been pulled over multiple times for speeding on the way to the hospital during an emergency in his M5, he was never ticketed.

It’s the one right off of I-355, right? I think I’ve seen the R8 in the doctor’s parking lot before.

Haha illinois has a ton of them. And a lot of specialty plates
![]() 12/10/2015 at 12:44 |

Also I’m pretty sure that’s short for US Navy Mom

Yeah 355 and route 6 and yeah he’s always there. The AMG GT is a new sight though.

I don’t know I’ve ever seen an IL specialty plate, but I do see at least a dozen standard ones on my commute home every day (I live near I-65, which we sometimes call the Chicago/Beach Expressway).
Here in AL, I think we have over 100 specialty plates. It’s nuts.
And yes, that’s US Navy Mom :D

Yup. When you gotta get there, you gotta get there.

Yeah we have a bunch for firefighters and all the Chicago sports teams and pretty much and big 10 school and a whole host of others to chose from haha

Right! even with that gigantic spot, still fucks it up. In his defense maybe he had to hurry up and save someones life.

Had it been an S instead of a 5, we’d be questioning one of our oppo brethren by now.

Virginia might give Illinois a run for it’s money. It’s only like $5 a year for vanity plates. We have like 200+ specialty plates and it’s only another $5 or $10 a year for one of those.

Yup. VA is totally out of control :D
They led me to create my license plate rule of thumb (aka The Virginia Rule): If your state has university plates for a college more than two states away, you have too many plates.
It throws you for a loop to see your college logo and colors on a plate, but that plate is on a car from 700 miles away.

My first thought: wait, they make a new 928? Sweet!

Yeah, it’s weird. I stuck with the good ol’ fashioned Don’t Tread on Me. Because ‘Mruica.
